About
We are a newly formed, legally represented alliance of Lake Wisconsin area residents and landowners opposing the BECI 765 kV Transmission Line Project across southern Wisconsin. Our commitment is to defending the rights of our community and supporting our neighbors in their fight to defend theirs.
Standing Together for Our Communities
Lake Wisconsin Land and Community Alliance brings landowners, families, farmers, neighbors, and communities together to protect Wisconsin’s land, homes, natural resources, and property rights.
Through education, collaboration, advocacy, and community action, LWLCA works to ensure that local voices are heard and that responsible alternatives are fully considered.
Help Protect Our Communities
LWLCA depends on the support of landowners, residents, and neighbors who share our commitment to protecting Wisconsin’s land, communities, and property rights.
Your contribution helps support legal representation, education, outreach, research, and the work required to keep residents informed and engaged.
What is the BECI Project
The BECI Project is a proposed approximately 190-mile, 765-kilovolt transmission line that would cross southern Wisconsin from Crawford County to Walworth County before continuing to the state line.
The project would introduce transmission infrastructure on a scale not currently seen in Wisconsin, including large towers and extensive new corridors. LWLCA is working to help residents and landowners understand the proposal, its potential impacts, and the questions surrounding its need, routing, and cost.
